To accept an obligation without the intent to make good on the contractual promise creates a poor example to the community and diminishes efforts towards the community in bringing members into the church. If budgets are not large enough to meet the needs of the objects of those budgets, then programs and projects will suffer allowing the appearance of inadequate management of the church funds. It is a harsh truth that a church needs money, just like any other organization, in order to grow and provide ministering nourishment to its flock. McGarrah says that â€Å"History shows that churches which have persistently belittled stewardship and finances, which have not used money in their
